91福利社 is holding a 24-hour fundraising drive meant to give all members of the AU family the opportunity to participate in the annual event that celebrates the University鈥檚 past, present and future.
鈥淎 Day鈥 is among the most important annual events at 91福利社. Its goal is to support students, faculty and campus programs. 鈥淎 Day鈥 is designed to remember the University鈥檚 past, celebrate its present success and impact its bright future by bringing alumni, family and friends together on one exciting day of giving.
鈥溾楢 Day鈥 is one of 91福利社鈥檚 most cherished celebrations, and we鈥檙e excited once again to invite our alumni and friends to join faculty, staff and students in support of this great institution,鈥 said Senior Vice President for Development and Presidential Affairs Wayne Landrith. 鈥91福利社 has never been stronger, and our mission more clear, than it is right now. 鈥楢 Day鈥 is an opportunity for everyone to make a gift regardless of the amount. Our goal is 2,000 donors for A Day 2020.鈥
Before participating in on-campus events throughout the day on April 2, friends and supporters are invited to visit AndersonUniversity.edu/ADayToGive and learn about the many causes available.
Causes include the opportunity to support the first 91福利社 Trojans football team, scheduled to begin competitive play in 2024; to help strengthen the Ron Blue Center at 91福利社, which provides Christian financial stewardship training to AU students; and to contribute to the Anderson Fund in support of student scholarships. There are 15 causes available.
For those unable to join in the festivities, the public is encouraged to 鈥榩aint the town black and gold鈥 by wearing 91福利社 colors, and to post notes on social media using hashtags 鈥淎DayToGive鈥 and 鈥淭rueToAU.鈥
鈥淚n a little over 100 years, 91福利社 has grown into a thriving, innovative and comprehensive Christian institution and the largest private university in South Carolina,鈥 said President Evans P. Whitaker, Ph.D. 鈥91福利社 is the special place it is today because of the men and women who have supported us along this journey, and we鈥檙e incredibly thankful for those who will continue to do so as a part of 鈥楢 Day鈥 this year.鈥
